Outdoor LED lights

Post by possum52 »

I bought a 5M strip of 5050 led's and a 12v dimmer from the guys below.
I bought 2 x 2m x 3mm aluminium strips at Bunnings along with 19mm clear PVC tube and 4 rubber chair leg ends to use as end stoppers.
I attached the leds to the aluminium strip and slid it inside the tubing. I did two of these cause there are two awing rafters.
I had added a 12v external outlet to the van which is controlled by the 12v dimmer (see below as well)
I bought some microphone connector thingys from Prime electronics to makea double connector and voila!! :D
Happy days......can light up the whole camp area or dim it to seductive level ;)
Haven't used that setting yet though

It will be interesting to see how well the dimmer works Gary, I have some on order from DX.

If it's anything like mine you will love it...........makes for lots of comments
Seriously, its great to dim the lights to provide some security lighting and with the remote it's easy to go full on from 100M away. Makes it real easy to find the van when ur a bit wobbly

cheers
