I know you got the 12V version but I'd consider going back to 240v adapter.
A lot of adapters off Billion network adapters or even some of the (so called) 12v TV's have those adapters too.
Remember those Aldi TV's a lot of us bought? Vivid name I think?
Plug into 240v inverter & try it & see if it still does it. It might be RFI & not the actual dip in power that's causing it.
Try taking the batteries out of the remote. Still do it?

I can rig up a temporary arrangement to test the theory. It will be a tricky job if I have to do a permanent fix - couldn't be in a worse position to achieve a neat permanent job.

A proper inverter setup is on my list of things to do - being able to use a hair dryer in the bush seems to be important!
I have a good 600w inverter up front but that is for ipad chargers, cameras and the like while on the road. I prefer OE 240v chargers for those sort of things. I have had some spectacular failures with 12v chargers for anything more than phones.

Fixed.

I cut into the wire that runs from the pump pressure switch to the pump motor and inserted a relay to power the motor directly from the battery.

No more flickering of the interior lights and the Alden Vast box doesn't reboot.

Happy now.
