Compressor fridge draw.

Post by shonky »

Hi, all.

After a battle with supplying 4amps to the 90ltr fridge in wintertime, when solar and battery capacity are inadequate, I finally worked out how to drop it's average draw to 3amps . It's too simple for words, and will save a lot of personal grief.

dapope - another obsession bites the dust. What now???

Hi, all.

BernieQ - don't know how to tell you, as it's too simple for words. Besides, grief is an important ingredient in life. Without it, how could one experience joy? That's lower case joy, no, that's not what I said...
Mrs shonky aka The Controller spoke of experiencing joy on a lower staircase. I give up...

Jeez, this 3amp beer is lovely and cold.

Bernie my friend let it not be said that I, the slightly intelligent one, failed to share the secret of how to run your compressor fridge off a AAA torch battery. A snappy trip to Alice Springs is the trick my mate. After 9 weeks of polar bear hunting so that we were leaving the fridge door open to heat the M/H we surrendered and are now sitting at Daly Waters in 30 degree sunshine and bloody boootiful cold beer at the pub. Eat your heart out o slow one. Cheers. :D

Enjoy Daly Waters Shonky, are you going to the show.
Back in 08 I think? the chook man was the best nites entertainment we had on the whole trip . [don't think he's there now]
We were in two minds wether to continue north,at the time our youngest grand daughter was extremely unwell, and Carol was upset that we were so far away.
But we headed to Darwin and back, and the little bugger is now 6 years old and loves her 'Pop'.
She is the little one sitting on the couch in our fit out thread.
Thanks for the heads up on your fridge, haha.
Bernie.
Shonky I got in trouble in the pub seems Carol said I was drooling over the bar maid? instead of my beer musta been some one else.

Hi, all.

Bernie - our travel plans go no further than back to Bris next week so Mrs shonky can visit the Singapore Garden Festival (for the equivalent cost of 24 tankfuls of diesel, sob) then either straight back here for a month or two , or else stopover at Kinbombi Falls for a while. Can't rush these things.

BTW Mrs shonky doesn't go into pubs, not that I would misbehave or anything. Oh no.
