The GG's & D,G & Miss Meow are away.

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Running beautifully, heading off again this arvo try and get a few hours in after spending the day with Ash's Mum and cleaning the bus and Shadow they were filthy after we drove through wet roadworks, so all clean, all topped up, and ready to hit the Nullarbor. Have some lovely sights of Wild flowers to gladden the heart too, which is sorely needed. Thank you beautiful WA, this state really gets into your soul.

Cheers

Howdy, well saw Coral bay  too much like Broome etc for me but we went and went.. Now sitting on the side of the road about 50ks from Carnarvon. Tomorrow we have a vets appointment for Miss meow as she has been losing weight, wanting to eat but then has one mouthful then leaves it plus I am syringing water into her. Hhmmmm Anyway the wind has cooled things down a wee bit and there was a dark cloud but nothing in the form of moisture yet. Time for afternoon tea so copyulater :D

Meow hasn't been outside the bus and the symptoms would have had more than off food etc but we shall give her the going over to make certain. I rang her vet back home for her blood & urine tests, it may help vet tomorrow if he has to compare them. After I told Meow she was going to a vet tomorrow she promptly ate about a desert spoon of roo, who said animals don't know what you are saying  Not an awful lot of traffic on the roads guess everyone has high tailed it down south? We hope to go a bit more sedately now and see some really nice wild flowers. There are plenty of signs along the roads warning of roaming wildlife but all we have seen is wild-dead (joke) plenty of cow carcasses on the sides of the roads. The red bull dust is everywhere there will be a big clean up when we get home when ever that is..

Going to hang around this level for a while then to Geraldton (Chuck has to have a check up on his car for rego) and also to meet Jamglor then to see flowers and stuff then trickle over the Nulla to be home by late Oct. Nth would be far to hot for these old buggers.
My jaw is still swollen and aching from the dental experience but I am soldiering on as we women do  Also getting used to the name "Butch" I even come when called

Shirley, We got to the vets on time and I went in to ask if I could borrow a crate to bring Miss meow safely into the clinic I was handed a grubby crate but when I lifted the towel lining it the crate & towel was stinky (urine) and very dirty so I put her into one of our pillow cases and took her in that way. The vet was an elderly fellow and he gestured to us to go into a consult room and to put miss Meow onto the examination table. I looked at the table and saw the remains of another creature's hair so asked him if he would please clean the table down before I put my Meow on it. He did then I put her on there to be examined. After I had told him the symptoms and showed him her prev test results from my own vet he diagnosed her with Nephritis and got a dose of AB's drawn up and gently jabbed her but spoilt it by shoving the liquid in fast it made Meow flinch. Then he got some other liquid and gave that to her orally so not too bad. He also used a rather grotty thermometer to take her temp (up her jacksy) but seeing it was going in a dirty place I thought that ok. Temp was up a bit 38.9 cats normally 38.4 or lower. Then he told me to go and get some Glucodin and add 1 teaspoon to half a litre of boiled water and get that into her until she starts to eat & drink for herself.. That my friends was $112. I passed on these details onto our normal vet for his thoughts. The clinic was something out of a time warp, no one other than this old man there and things were looking decidedly in need of repair replacement and a dam good clean.. Anyway we are now hopeful she will come right, she did a small wee early this morning and has eaten a small bit of food tonight.. Thanks for asking about the old girl Meow :D
