Thankyou so much Dee (& Greg!)
I just know it's the only way I'll ever get to see some of those marvelous sites you've seen.
What an experience!
You haven't missed much over here except someone getting a "dike haircut"......... !!!
Saw it the other day.... starting to look almost respectable but still the same colour!!!
(Love it Dot! It really does suit you!)

Unfortunately, Dot, although we can fill the Bailey up with bikes, sealed food, like Marmite, clothing, pots and pans, etc., we are not allowed to ship back alcohol!

Else you can be sure there's be a Bailey full of Spitfire beer!

It's suddenly turned really cold here in Ireland, and today we are headed north to just outside Dublin. Jumpers are on! Gloves will soon be out.

We do miss you guys btw! And Australia. But mostly we miss the sunshine.....

I haven't worn my bathers once while here, and we've worn shorts probably for a total of three weeks.

See you soon
Hugs

Ok everyone...we're off! This time towing the English caravan, which we've set up so we have no need of a generator, and can free camp anywhere.

So we are currently in the Wanderest Park in Richmond, where it costs $5 to join the club, and free or $10 if you want power. We are going to be visiting my son before heading to Condobolin.

On the way, we found a couple of good free camps...the one we liked the best was at the back of Gundagai, near the old bridges, by the river (Greg caught a carp). The next one was Dalys Clearing in the Belanglo Forest and although it was peaceful and pleasant during the day, I had nightmares in the night, with Ivan's mob chasing me with knives.

We're headed slowly north, meandering, as we aren't expected at the plantation until easter.

Some photos....the caravan, of course..

Time to catch up!

Ok so now we are four! Me n Greg, and Alfie n Bertie.....we were just going to get one pup, but we were suckered into taking a second litter pup! No regrets...well, not many...two pups is three times the work, and twice the cost, harder to train etc! But they are adorable. Labradoodles.

That's the bit about our pups. Now, the trip so far....

We travelled from Melbourne to Sydney slowly, stopping at a couple of good free camps, one in particular not to miss was at Gundagai, where we camped by a river, and had a great time looking at the old bridges and the old train station.
On to Sydney where we stayed at the Wanderers in Richmond, met up with family etc. Then across to Condobolin, meeting Chuck and Catrina to drop off something for Dot, (it's complicated), ended up having long chat by the roadside as both G and Chuck are ex RAF.

Stayed at Blue Gum and boy was it HOT there...but it's a lovely spot, so I hope everyone that's going to the meet will have fun.
North then, through Dubbo, on to Inglewood, (with new pups acquired in Condobolin), stayed with friends for a week after stopping at a couple of good free camps, plus a lovely little CP in Tooraweenah, nice pool, lovely people, dog run....even got scones and cream for afternoon tea given to us!
Inglewood was a bit fraught, as our friends had acquire a 9month old Heeler X pup and it ruled the roost. After a week, we headed off to Stanthorpe to check out a farm we are going to look after Sept/October time for three weeks...lovely spot...came away with gifts of honey, tomatoes, veggies etc....
There's also a great spot, huge amount of room, at Bingara...stayed there a couple of nights, good fishing!
On to Surfers where we were able to park outside my daughters place....and the dogs were quite happy in their crate on her veranda.....until 0400 am! So we had a good excuse to leave the next day!
Oh, on the way to the GC we had two nights at The Gorge Wilderness Park...$4 each pn...dog friendly, right by a river, children were jumping in the water, swimming around, squeals of pleasure...reckon much better than bouncy castles etc!
On to Gympie, where we picked up a bag awning for the caravan (we are now using the Bailey), fitted it there and then, and off we went again. Stopped at what was the Matilda but is now the Puma rest area just south of Bundy, lovely spot, loads of birds on the lake.
Went to see some people we had got friendly with when we did a house sit in BUCCA, turns out he is headed up the Cape in June so hoping to rendezvous.
At the moment we are sitting by the Calliope River (North side), with the noise of the dozers drowning out the birdcalls. They are repairing the damage done by Marcia. We got in pretty early yesterday, so had our pick of spots, but by late afternoon it was chockers. A popular stopping off spot.
Tomorrow we are off again, planning to stop at Carmilla Beach depending on the insects, then we might splurge on a CP at Airlie.
Aim to be at our caretaking venue, which is Leichhardt Creek Organic Farm (see Youcamp.com) the other side of Mareeba, by Easter. So we don't travel fast!

Cheers
Dee
