Gunna say goodnight everyone, nothing on the tv and who wants to watch a story about a singer that took drugs and got his thrills off by strangling himself while doing the self serve, if this is what we are to suffer through think shall go out into the bus and pack more stuff into her for the trip to Melb .. Goodnight everyone x

My rant for today is "rates increase every year without seeing anything done to justify these increases" so why do the councillors and heaps of the community think that spending thousands of dollars letting off bloody loud fire crackers off at 9.30pm is a smart thing?? For me this senseless waste of money esp in fire season also sees many animals scared to death but I guess it is the same old reason,"human beings don't give a rats ass as long as they are happy and bugger all else. Am I cranky? you bet yu, I loathe humans that have no thoughts for defenceless creatures. (that includes animals, the elderly and the very young) Grrrrr

I totally agree, our rates were suppose to rise 6.7% but our rates actually rose 20.1% over $800 increase in the one year & now the council is in the black for a 2 nd year to the tune of 5.5 million surplus over $5,000 a year is ridiculous.
Also totally agree with the fireworks $$$$$$$s up in smoke all gone in a short while & animals scared to death, not to mention the fire risk any event these days seems to attract a fireworks display.

Well, for some it diverts attention away from the Leman Brothers investments.Dot wrote:...so why do the councillors and heaps of the community think that spending thousands of dollars - is a smart thing??
Pull out your pension card. If it says "Old Age" pension, then you are old.SteveW wrote:Define elderly![]()

dawg (who's card still reads "Age" pension)

Re: Banal .. Open to any topic on and off topics etc
Had a nice day with 2 forum couples, Greg & DEE and Robk & Lyn came up for lunch. Lots of talking about travels and heard about Dee & Gregs 6 mths in UK so much so we got the travel bug and thought about getting a tag along going with Dee as leader seeing she has had the experiences of UK travel a few times and knows the places and things to do etc, good idea huh? Then it was afternoon tea time with chocolate mud cake (just what we all needed apart from G) then they all headed for their homes. as a really nice day.
needed it for sure. Thanks guys for a great day
