Best Bakeries

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Best Bakeries

Post by GregnDee »

I'll start this one off

There's a fantastic bakery in

Clarendon, SA. They make, amongst other tasty morsels, awesome Kitchener Buns

Alexandria, in Victoria....a phenomenal one ...Greg can't remember the name of it though!

Tooradin, Vic....on the road towards Phillip Island after you pass Cranbourne, on the right next to the cafe and icecream place.....everything they make is yummy!

These are our favourites

Cheers
Greg (the expert)
and Dee (who now refuses to stop at them!) :o

I've made Ouyen, Victoria bakery one of my MUST stops if I'm going that way.
I've yet to be disappointed with both the quality/freshness of the products or the friendliness/welcome of the business.
It is a huge area with lots of tables.
Clean and inviting............

There is a little bakery on Queen st in Warilla, near Shellharbour NSW, exceptional quality pies and naughty food. A big range of pies, always sold out by 2pm so if you are in the area best not leave it too late for the visit. Then you can drop down for a cuppa as we live a few streets away 8-) now, if you were to bring naughty food with you......... even though I'm not allowed to buy any it would be very rude of me not to eat some if a guest bought it special eh ;)

The Biggenden Bakery sells really really good pies, had to say that the bloke that owns it is a neighbour.
Only kidding they are good pies, plus all the other stuff that bakery's, make we buy his bread better then the supermarkets.
Good one also at Warialda in NSW and Bingara just a bit down the road.
Cuppla goodens in Tassie as well cant recall where (great scallop pies) just send me some money and I'll go back down and get them for you's.

Best vanilla slices that are made fresh to order at Gwandalan bakery near us on Lake Macquarie NSW
I too will second the Beechworth Bakery. Best Bee Sting buns I have ever tasted.

We will second that. And they make good bread too. Usually a big queue when the bread is coming out.

I like the one in Alexandra Vic, just down the hill from the supermarket. Good pies and great vanilla slices.
Cheers

Bakery (can't remember name, but it's the only one in town) in Theodore, Qld. Great variety, great taste, but city prices... :(

In Rutherglen, Vic, there's Parkers Pies in the main street, and at the other end of the shopping strip there's Valentine's Sourdough Bakery (guess what they specialise in? ) and across the road is Rutherglen Bakery. All three have a great variety of pastries, all taste great, and all at reasonable prices.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

An amazing mix of pasty varieties and great vanilla slice.... but we had to sell the first and second born to cover the tab

In SA there is a little village called Angaston and they have the best Cornish pasties and pies and vanilla slices I've had in a long time. There is a great butcher shop next door as well
