Am a proud Aussie. Just where were all these flags people are waving about made?
Its just big business making money out of us,
I refuse to give them any.
I'm a 5th generation Aussie and because of me there are now 7th generation Aussies.

Re: Aussie Day
One day is the same to me as all the rest in the year. My pride in everything I hold dear is my business and I do not need to fly a flag to show it, it is all kept inside me for my personal use only, Just sayin To me it is along the same lines as "you don't have to go to any church to be a good citizen or Christian to some"

Ah, the moderators here have more sense and knowledge of running a good forum. Better you not dwell on it?
Re: Aussie Day
Getting back to the subject - I trust that all who are celebrating tomorrow have a great day. For those that are working, then take care and enjoy your day off later.

Re: Aussie Day
Unfortunately it is raining here on Lake Macquarie, Australia Day bowls cancelled disappointing for the organisers & the weather doesn't look like clearing soon.
All the boats that stayed o'night along the shore opposite have gone this morning only one catamaran remaining.

Not a lot of rain, but it does mean that my grandson's birthday celebration will not be held outdoors as planned. But who really cares - the precipitation is good.Shirley wrote:Unfortunately it is raining here on Lake Macquarie, Australia Day bowls cancelled disappointing for the organisers & the weather doesn't look like clearing soon.

Re: Aussie Day
Ended up playing carpet bowls indoors, had a lot of laughs, good feed & all celebrated the day, even won a six pack in a cooler & a cap, good day was had by all.
