Hi Dot, When we started out, the engine cover was completely sealed, heat stayed in the bedroom for ages after we stopped, once I cut out a large portion of the cover, the difference was amazing, I do agree with what Terry is saying, but, all I'm saying is that it worked for me & I don't see ANY negetive effects

Today I rang the local yobbo's re the V belts that were put on the bus just before take off to WA. On our return G noticed the belts were rather worn I would say cracked but words just words, No more that 10ks done and I expect belts to last longer than that. G took them back and told them that the rep was welcome to come and look at the bus etc but no word from them at all so I rang last week to see what the rep said, "Not come yet" hmmm so I rang again on Monday and they were to ring back Hmmmmm so I rang just now, No rep has been in, So I asked for the reps # and was told "no" So then I was told they had no proof we bought them there, so I rattled off the invoice info and the numbers etc of the belts. He then said there would be NO refund so I replied that Consumer expected new belts to last more than 10ks. I then told him I would get the mechanic to write his report of the service he did when he put the belts on to show the pulleys etc were all ok. Anyway I waited while he rang the rep to see when he would be up and that would be next wed or thurs so I said thank you and that was that. I then looked up the manufacturers "Gates" and was just about to fire off a complaint re their distributers lack of customer service when the ph rang to say that there would be 2 new belts waiting for me next Mon or Tues. Amazing what a little stubbornness and the name consumer will do. Another case of bad business practices and bullying of either the little old customer, female or both but I was (prev busb was) in the automotive industry for too long to know that belts etc left on shelves for too long go bad. My motto is and will always be DO NOT BUY LOCAL they are too complacent thinking they are the only ones. Go girl power.
