The movie   loved the super glue scene
Big big day today , Brian check up at the vet and he had to have a super doper test to see if he has chlamydia, callesi viris (spelling) or ???? and I have forgotten the name, a left over from his cat flu.. The test was just a cotton bud wiped around the bottom eye lid and that is sent off to see which one of the bugs if any grow. That was at 8.30am then G had a call to go to see the CEO at the hosp so off he went and came back with the lease for the op shop then it was to the op shop for the re opening at 10am. Well it was all go and after a hectic day we took off to the city for G to see the super doper nose surgeon at 5pm. Got in his rooms at 5.15 and he was so apologetic for keeping us waiting  he said he hates keeping patients waiting because he hates to be kept waiting.. Anyway he did the poke up the nose trick again and said he wants G to trial a new treatment for 3 mths before he would even consider more surgery but he did  say he expects he will more than likely have to have it done He explained every pic he took of the bits that need fixing and was a really good guy. Said the benefit of being the last patient we could take as much time as we wanted  For a top notch specialist the gap was just $47. and he bulk billed the scope he used. The others all charged $120 for the scope  So on our way home we decided we needed a treat so we dropped into KFC, once again it was crap so this time I will be complaining. Got home at 7.30pm, g went to check the op shop was closed up etc ok and just then the nice real estate agent we used delivered the car A frame his truckie son had bought from melb for us. The first day of trading at the op shop was a healthy $700 odd so not too shabby hey?? totally exhausted so shall have a look around then get to bed..

$700 Seems to be a decent sort of start at the Op Shop Dot, considering most of the prices would be fairly small. Well done.

Well done!!
I'm not sure how that op shop set their prices Chuck but some tend to go crazy with their prices.
Considering most, if not all, of the items get donated I can't see the wisdom in setting the prices at 95% of new.
I couldn't believe the prices at the local Salvo outlet in Murray Bridge.
Might be for a good cause but ..................

Opening special ALL womens clothing inc shoes all $2, childrens 50cents too dear? The salvos are now mostly privately run and yes their prices are totally out of line with reality. Top price in the shop is $10 for a mans suit and that has hardly been worn and is drycleaned.

That would have made for a very busy day to ring up $700 in sales, congratulation to all concerned. Does this mean you will be busy restocking shelves and clothes rack Dottie? Just take it easy, that Ross River stuff is still in your system so you don't want to end up with chronic fatigue syndrome as well

We had a very busy day, have more stuff than we can handle so sending a lot off to another charity "backpacksforkids" G has another couple of shelving racks to assemble and then we might be able to take more of the stuff we have sorted from out of our garage but the donations still keep rolling in . We have donated more than 1 million dollars to the local hosp and health complex over the past 25yrs so it is a good cause. Trouble is when they closed down over a yr ago (due to bad management and light fingers) the hosp commandeered the big shed we bought for excess stock so now we have no storage room but we are slowly wearing down the "powers that be" for at least some of our shed space back again. Pretty soon we might even be able to head off for a couple of days R&R. Some of the old girls have poor pricing ideas but we say to ask themselves "what would you pay for this item?" and to use their own discretion when pricing things. we try to instil into these people that we got it for nothing so we should be grateful for every cent we make from stuff.
