Thinking of cyclone victims

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Looking at the radar, it looks to be mostly passing us to the west right over you Bernie. We had a shower at about 6.15pm but no rain or wind since.
Cheers

Dot, I'm not sure but I think David is in the Gold Coast hinterland. He certainly would have had rain but not from the cyclone. There are two rain systems in SEQ at the moment. The rain that Brisbane and the Gold Coast are getting is separate from the Cyclone. We've just had a heavy downpour but no wind. Hope you are okay Bernie.
Cheers

Pouring here non stop for the last couple of days, (Coffs Harbour area). Tide is coming in and the river looks pretty swollen. No road closures as yet but would be far off.

That's good news Bernie. That'll teach you to winge (Whinge?) about how dry it is/was!!
Did the bus (motorhome) leak water at all? Good test?
I bet it'll be hot and steamy for the next few days!!

Carol has told me I'm not allowed to get hot and steamy any more?
No leaks inside the bus that was a good test, there is a small damp spot in the rear boot maybe just the boot seal not a worry tho.
Considering it was horizontal rain I thought the 4 season hatch's may have let some in, I had put towels on the floor in anticipation.
But all good.
Next door recons he had 140mm in gauge...strange he always has more then me, but other neighbour had same as me?
Bernie.

As Macca will attest if he hasn't gone under, yesterday's pissing down was just a light shower it is coming down like a SVN monsoon but not stopping. The remains of Marcia are sitting right above us and the bi*ch doesn't want to go any further it seems.
Bright side, they say there is so much water in the air that if it recrosses the coast it may well reform, so we are doing a social service by sucking it all up.
Kids are out picking lettuce in it, not happy chappies at the moment.
