Thinking of cyclone victims

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Looks like me and neighbour have foot in mouth, I just checked my gauge guess what it has crack in it so its been leaking all the time.
Consensus is we had some where in the vicinity of 190mm.
Still flooding around but can now get into Biggenden...if we wanted.

Nar got a led of one in a few months, wonder how fast I can make it go?
Surprising how fast the ground is drying.

We only got about 150mm. Most of it missed us down here. I feel sorry for the poor buggers in Rocky and Yeppoon. There are still a lot of places with no power up that way.
Cheers

David if you lived up in cyclone country, wouldn't you have a genny & a few cans of fuel on hand?
I realise it's not the same as grid power but at least you could keep your beer cold. (& other essentials)
I'm not being nasty .... Wendy's daughter has a house in Yeppoon and another one in Rocky.........
All those people on the news lined up waiting for ice .......... unreal!

We had some drongo drive into the local creek here this arvo, signs on both approaches and red flashing lights saying the bridge is out. (they are permanent lights)
Rescue Chopper, fire and ambulance in attendance. Hospital has another mouth to feed. Bloody idiots.
More when I know.
