Re: External Speakers for TV.
So now you are telling me to go and look at the stereo in the bus to see if it has a good aux input Jack, is that correct
Q/ how do you know if it is a good one in the first place?

Terry, I think you & I are actually speaking the same language... woohooooo!!!T1 Terry wrote:If your vehicle stereo has a good sound and an aux input jack, a cable with plugs from J Car etc that fits the earphone TV socket and the input to the stereo will do the job nicely.
We play the laptops Windows music thingy via the earphone socket to the house stereo input when we want music these days, a good songlist and random play, lasts for hrs and a big display of the song list, the computers speakers are dreadful.
The stereo unit in the van is a Kenwood KDV-MP4443... with 4 speakers in the ceiling, an AV input - is this what I'm looking for - on the front & is located about [...........] this far from the TV!! The only thing I'm not sure about is the size of the headphone input on the TV... it appears to be slightly smaller than the stereo unit AV one.
Just put the model # into Google to check... struth... this thing can do just about everything but wipe your - nose!
How we looking Terry?

The heaphone jack in the TV is mostly a 2.5mm stereo type, the input in the car stereo is either 2 RCA plugs in the rear or an aux input in the front for I pods etc and it will be either a 2.5mm or 3.5mm jack. leads are available with all these combinations on the ends, you just need to know which you have, adapter plugs are also available.
The inputs in the rear of the stereo are usually RCA and the easiest/neatest looking set up but the plug in the front is great for quick and easy..... so to speak.

Bewdy,
As the Kenwood is 'fitted' into the van I'll head on down to Jaycar tomorrow & grab one of those leads - then keep our fingers crossed.
Thanks Terry.

Re: External Speakers for TV.
I installed an AMP in my bus.
Used only for the radio as I don't watch Tele.
Turn on the amp and it feeds two BIG speakers in the front of the bus so I get speakers both ends of the bus and they can wake the dead if I turn them up.
I will be installing a water proof socket on the outside of the bus when I get to Adelaide .
I listen to good music so want good sound (QUIET Terry it IS music)
Regards
Brian

Re: External Speakers for TV.
Brian may I enquire what music you do listen to & roughly when you might be heading Westwards?
Was considering organising a bit of a get-together over that direction.

Seriously, we have rules about just how far the truth can be stretched, that "MUSIC" was trialed to keep kids out of the malls but it kept the adults out as wellI listen to good music so want good sound (QUIET Terry it IS music)
