Yep two dates [can I say that] Taggertys and my nephews birthday (50th) on the 13th of August in Townsville.

Bernie you can stay at a free camp on Lake Coolmunda, the servo just before Inglewood can give you directions to it, you can also stay o'night behind the servo great meals, the bloke that owns the property also owns the pub.

We stayed at the Texas stop (near the river) very nice it was apart from the wriggly stick trying to climb the concrete wall of the bridge.

Bad news folks...we are turning back home, the engine is starting to use more oil then diesel...double bugga...
We will take a shorter way home than we have to get here [by the way we are in Inglewood], I will tow the car half way then detach and Carol can drive it the remainder of way home so I wont have it behind me on the hills.
This is just a minor hiccup we will still do the trip depends on how quick I can pull the engine down and see what the problem Is, just may not get to Taggerty. Still time tho?
That was going to be a big part of the trip meeting forum members all in one spot. Captive audience so to speak hehe.
For those interested we stayed over nite at the free camp on the lake at Jandowae Qld the lake is less then half full we were the only campers, we are now at the free camp in Inglewood same deal we are at present the only ones? may need another mouth wash?

When mine ran out of fuel; (with 130 litres still in the tank. gggrrrrr), before it shut down, it blew a ton of blue smoke.

Maybe, it's running lean after doing the injector work??? JD
