PeterH's dilema

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

PeterH's dilema

Post by pet-els »

My Easter weekend.
I eventually was discharged today, went down to the discharge lounge at 0930 got out at 1610 hours. My girl Tash saved my life, I showed the email to my doctor and he agreed [I’m not sure if he would have suggested it or not] wrote the paper work out I went to the hospital, didn’t even sign before I was in the ER and getting treatment. Unfortunately their CT scanner was broken so I went by Ambo’s to the Hermitage Med Centre for the CTDP [same company & I have a DVD of it]. So I had DVT and some of the clot had moved to my lung they fixed it up. There is still a clot in my leg so I am on Rivaboxaban this does a better job and no side effects [No I & R tests].
Reading the Discharge paper it could have been fatal; they also rang the RTA and informed them I could not drive for six weeks. So that cancels lunch on Friday at Bowral, CMCA Rally at Murray Bridge SA, Taggerty Vic and Gum Bend Lake [Condobolin]. But maybe pick up my friends Chris and Wendy at Nindigully Pub Qld and travel to Broome together.

Well that's a rite bugga Peter, no Taggerty and no Gum Bend, have they figured out what caused the blood clot? Did they give a reason for the no driving for 6 weeks?

Blood clot caused by the new knee replacement. There is still a clot there which could move at any time [hopefully not with the medications I'm on] and cause problems even death. That's why no driving.

Geez, another reason not to get knee replacements. I don't need much of an excuse at the best of times, and yes Dot I am a sook.

Peter, if you can't drive you may need to do some walking or cycling, without a motor.
