The Mazda gets 6km/ltr towing the trailer, 7 without, the Kombi gets 6.5km/ltr on LPG with or without a trailer.... but might be because the trailers slows the kombi down a bitjon_d wrote:Hi Bernie,
4.1ks, 25 litres per 100k's.
What speed and rpm? I'm hoping for 5-6k's per litre with the 6 speed and turbo.

Re: Bernie and Carols Isuzu fit out.
42 mile crossing is 42 miles from Kingston along the coorong. It is one of the first places you can get across the coorong onto the Younghusband Peninsula. That is the strip of land (sand hills) between the coorong (water) and the sea (water).
Now days everyone has to stick to designated tracks through and over the sand hills.

Nine tonne Dot, plus the Susie is full of stuff.
Some time need the 4x4 just to go shopping at home Bruce a place call Henson's flats goes under at the hint of rain your old Charade would have to wait till it went down. Plus who wants to do 200ks round trip shopping for two weeks at a time, no room for that in one of them as well.
Might leave the beach till weathers a bit warmer Dot?
Bernie.

Here are some figures from our 3 year travels, 25,000Kms in our Bedford with Isuzu 6BG1 (non Turbo) 6 speed, not sure of diff ratio but at 90Km/h the motor is doing 1900rpm. Bus ways 12 ton and we were flat towing a Terios.
Total averages
4.25 Km/litre
23.55 L/100Km
11.99 mpg
.37 cents/Km
6050 Litres
$9621
Our best was 5.45 Km/litre and worst was 3.39 Km/litre

How did you manage to get it to weigh 12 ton? Our 11.5m Bedford weighs 8.5 tonne fully loaded.
