Well it seems the bearing that got wet is only the start of my problems, and the reason for my no show at GBL.

I have found that the SGV has to have that pulley, plus 3 others, plus the serpentine belt, plus the timing belt all changed at the 75,000 service, and every 75,000 after that. Parts alone are $1,200 plus all the other stuff like oil, labour etc. Service is about 2 and a half grand all up !!!

I am not game to put it off as there are several instances on the web of people who put it off till 80,000 Km, only to have belt break and engine blow.

So, anyone else that's got one, be aware of this (mine is diesel)

It is not going to be much warmer up here by the sound of it over the next few nights.

We had 19c here today too with a bitter cold westerly blowing, it was nice if you were out of the wind 7.8c now.

Peter & Sandra arrived mid arvo then Wayne & Nini arrived in the dark (after happy hr) lit the camp fire, had tea then the wind came up (not out) so it was all campers to their vehicles. It was a real freezer last night, cloudless sky . Tonight some cloud cover so hopefully not so cool in the morning. Brian has been outside to meet some of the motley crew but prefers to be inside sitting on the dash in the sun.

Looks like it will be 3 of 3 we don't get too, Margaret was fine after the op, fine this morning, now she is in real pain so there is no hope we will get away at all by the looks of it. So enjoy your week-end and hopefully things will be better sorted for a future event.

As far as the cool weather, it was 6*C as we passed through the top of the mountain last night and it feels just as cold here again tonight
