Usually it is a hairy caterpillar nest they are in abundance around the area. we used to have heaps of them around the paddock in the trees until I started getting rid of them. Another place for great pies is Dongara bakery if you go there.

Dammmmm hot today here in Geraldton :P :P Went and visited Mr Toolman this morning and he showed us both his marvels in progress and it will be really something to see when completed. So far what has been done is fantastic. Watch out ladies keep the credit cards locked away that is all I can say ;) (I have) Then off we went to do some shopping and a look around. First thing was to have lunch, amazing the sights you see sitting in a shopping mall   Now back at the bus and the pussies were both asleep, must be the hot weather. Will most likely head off tomorrow towards Carnarvon but who knows how far we shall get but hey whats the rush?.

Murchison River WA.jpg
As usual a late start 2pm  Hot once again and that is just the weather. Got as far as the stop on the Murchison River #444 camps 6 and the usual hoard of caravans all tucked up close with their gennies chained to trees next to their neighbours van   we parked on the roadway to avoid the throngs but bugger me dead as it got dark 2 vans huddled behind us then a car thought it might squeeze in but no it thought better of it then a car and a boat looked at the 6 inches to spare and they also decided to move along to the other mob  Mozzies are out and about as well here. Rather hot travelling today, it got up to 31 in the bus but nice and cool now, still in t shirt and summer dacks. Brian is being so naughty he goes in the naughty crate every now and again. Off towards Carnarvon tomorrow but who knows that is a very long drive might take us 2 days to get there :D This time last year we were on 40 mile beach :o

"tanks" here---
Hello Dot & George,
I envy you with your travels while I sit here with no worries. I have switched off for the weekend and will get back into the Iveco problem again on Monday when I give the go ahead for a full engine rebuild.

I have completed the spraying of the overgrown condition of both house 41 and house 39, so it is a matter of waiting for the stuff to do its work. No doubt I will have to have a repeat performance in a few weeks to spray the parts I may have missed.

I have my visit to the eye surgeon on Wednesday for a final checkup. When I get the Iveco back I will have a few trips to and from Perth to make sure that all is in running order before I venture North.

I had a chat with Leon and mentioned that you may be calling at 40 Mile if you venture that far. He has a nice spot picked out for you. The open season closes at the end of the month. Leon said that this is his last year that he will be caretaker.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Just did 76ks today, parked at the same place as we did last year (Nerren Nerren rest area) and the place is a filling fast with the caravan mob, feel soooo isolated  there are gennies starting all around us the chairs and BBQ's are in situ and the ladies white shoes are being cleaned vigorously before daring to step inside the door and the sat dishes are all up as well , some good and really bad backing going on along with the merry go around of "yes no, yes, no, not this spot" and then the blocks of wood appear and the tooing and frowing begins in earnest, great entertainment all round  "What a bitch" did you say? well it's all true I tell you  Had a nice surprise when doing the check around the tyres etc the rear inner tyre (passenger side) tyre is as flat as a roadkill roo. G got the compressor out and put the good old air in so will see how it is in the morn before heading to Carnarvon and the tyre place. Not too bad for the first of any tyre issues since we got the old girl on the road. Sunny and warm again today but not to hot as yesterday due to some cloud cover. Also ran over a little wriggly stick near a river, most likely the little bastard bit the tyre as I squashed it...   Now time for the great walkabout to check out all these posh clean vans

Dot you need to get the camp stool out for George to sit on while he gives instructions re changing said flatty.
It's flat = it needs fixing.
Hate to see you lose two tyres.
Might go check on Jamie & co this week. Suspect a trip back to Kingston is on the cards.
Does he/she make scones?
