Sorry Native Pepper it was probably me that THOUGHT you were Alga from your band group.
Until you tell us your name I guess we are free to make up any stories we like?
Nice band! Who are the present members of it?

When you come over to the big island we'd love you to perform at one of our get togethers out in the bush.
I can assure you we are a fun loving bunch and are mostly toothless!!

A preset specific controller for lithium would be great I guess. However, like most of us I have used what was available at the time, and was able to work within the correct parameters. Will be interesting to see these new units in action☺

Native Pepper a very informative post on your perspective of life and your amazing capabilities to get your understanding of Terry and his motives from reading post on a forum.
Obvious you have had no personal dealings with Terry or any one of the many hundreds of people he has helped from the many forums he frequents and also the many who come to his home for personal assistance which he normally gives freely.
As to your gender, I am not really concerned as I treat all as equal, but as in the transgender fraternity which I do have contact with, it is appropriate to call anyone in the processor of change or if you are not sure of their preferred gender to address them with a gender of IT so that is what I normally use, so to me I don't care if you are a HE or a SHE, I will call you an IT.
Not sure if you are the same Native Pepper on another forum that I used to be a member of as your tone of writings sounds similar.
Most of your assumptions on Terry's character I will advise you you could not be further from the truth.
I have known Terry and Margaret since about 2006 when we met at a C**A event in Malaney QLD. I had followed Terry on the C**A forum and gathered that he had a lot of knowledge in the mechanical field etc but did have some views that I would not say were mine, but so be it that's life. We struck up a loose friendship where we knew each other as associates and nothing more and we went on our separate ways. T1 back to his home with Margaret and I eventually on the road full time. It was not till a few years later when I was having problems with my bus and could not find any mechanic to solve the problems that Terry offered to have a look at my problems if I could come to his home. This I did and he fixed the problems and we struck up a firm friendship and I now consider him a very good friend.
In the years I have known Terry and Margaret there has nearly always been someone in their front yard or parked near by receiving either help or support or just the offer of friendship in front of iron man over a few beers or wines at night.
Your accusations that Terry is not willing to offer his knowledge freely on the open forums I will give a bit of an oversight of how the experiments with Lithiums began and they way some people have attacked him/us and why we have persuade Terry to hold some of the important information back from these same people who chose to try and confuse the experiments and in so doing denied people like you the information that was going to be freely shared to all.
Terry being a regular poster on the C**A forum at one stage created a post on the prospect of these new batteries (LiFePo4) being adapted and used in a RV situation. Right at the outset he was attacked by a few of the diehard battery experts who said it could not be done. They did and some still do believe that you can not successfully run any 240v equipment from batteries and never will. Right from the start of the discussions and later the experiments we did Terry was adamant he wanted to keep the terminology in a format that all RV people understood. eg amps and volts as all the instrument we used, displayed these values not WATTS/WATTHR so they should survise. Immediately the EXPERTS required amps and volts not be used but WATTS. I have yet to find a normal RV traveler that has a WATT meter and who discusses their daily power consumption in WATTS.
Due to the continued attitude of these few EXPERTS we decided to go along anyway and I purchased the first set of batteries for my new bus. This bus was setup for caravan park use only so had no house batteries at all but all 240v equipment including the stove and fridge. We decided to test to the max so we left the 240v fridge etc in (I did remove the 240v hot plate and regret it now) and we decided to see what could be done despite the tirade from the forum/s (It was the same people on both forums by the way) These same people have continued their mission and it appears you wish to join them.
Terry is continually being offered options to consult with companies re his knowledge and on more that one occasion he has been requested to give the information freely knowing full well that those same people would then claim the knowledge theirs.
This continual attacking of every thing Terry and for a while I posted on forums resulted in an independent person who did want to know the information offered to set Terry up with a forum that was restricted to members only (at Terry's invitation) which now has over 100 members who are mainly technical savvy people who have over the past three years plus have been dedicated in discussing and experiment with ways and devices that we can use for the charging and management of the batteries and the ways we can utilise the available power we now have. All the members on the forum recognise that they would not have this opportunity if it was not for Terry so all are prepared to accept that Terry is the owner of all this combined research, so it not just his research but the combined efforts of many dedicated people.
Terry will not post certain information on open forums and I am one and there are many others in our group, that continually remind him that certain information is at the present best kept within our group, because some people would love to have access to the information on that closed forum.
I can assure you much of the information available on forums that is not Terry's can and does contain both false and also detrimental information that will /can result in a reasonable reduction in time to the life of the batteries.
We will await the verdict on this new Lithium (so they say) charger, but can safely say that any charger that is charging Lithium cells and is not controlled at the cell level will eventually cause grief. We have tried the BMS add ons etc and most fail in a short time and we expect many more will fail down the track. This failure will fairly certainly result in the destruction of one or more cells. I will not highlight the problems as I am sure you think you have covered all your bases with GOOGLE RESEARCH.
Terry has developed a system that is about as plug and play as you will get at the moment and it is able to be used in a RV using most if not all of the existing equipment such as solar regulators and chargers etc.The main thing that most changes is the inverter due to the increase in available power and the desire by most to have a more enjoyable life on the road.
I am sure that with your tirade against Terry you intended to accept not to seek his help or any of the people involved in the closed forum, which many are members on this forum also. i also assume that you have or will disregard any information that could have come from any of Terry's many posts. Not sure if you was aware of the fact you have not only bitten the hand of the best person to help in a crisis but also all of the users who accept that Terry has helped us and any information is his, so in face we can or will not be able to help you.
I hope you have success with your experiments as if done properly you will greatly enhance your travels but if you do not cover all the bases it can be a very expensive and frustrating time, so best of luck.
Regards
Brian
