Tyre Pressure Question

Our bus weight 10t we are running on 6 steel belted radial tubed tyres with split rims, tyre size 900R20, the single max load is 6180lbs at 130psi cold (this is on the tyres). The tyres are "full run" brand.
The man that fitted the tyres originally recommended 80psi's, the tyre place at Carnarvon said 100psi but he only put in 80psi and the question is What do you mob think the right answer is please?

4t on the steer and 6t on the drive?
900X20 is in the old imperial measurement Dot. Hard to look up recommended pressures.
I'd play around with 95 to 100 psi on the steer but 80-85 on the rear. 100 or more on the rear and you'll shake the bus to pieces.
If the front wanders around and the edges start wearing you may need to go up in PSI on them.
It's a balance on the front between wear and too rough.
I'll see if I can find conversion measurements.
900X20 is a big difference to the BIG truck size of 1000X20. (in carrying capacity)
100 is OK too on the back unless it's too bloody rough!!!

I usually have either 90 or 100 psi Dot .
Have 90 at moment .
Don't listen to Bruce Dot he hasn't had a real motorhome haha.
They don't shake .

I believe what ever Bruce tells me to believe he is the boss Thanks fellas . From the chart it seems that 80 is ok and Bernie says 90 so being female I may suggest we go 85psi? split the difference. Shall pass this on when Gman has finished doing the daily checks.

One of the settings is for temperature of the tyres, which gives a warning if there is an increase in the tyre temp.
The question is; what temp do I set the monitor at ?.

Keith, The best way to work out what temp you need to set the monitor at is to check all your tyres are at the correct pressure for your vehicle and note what the temperature of each tyre is. Then go for a drive and see how hot they get. You are looking to see a change in temperature that is unusual for your vehicle. The temp will depend on a few different things. Every vehicle will have a different tyre temp depending on tyre size and the weight it is carrying.
Put 'tyre temperature' into the search box. up in the RH Top corner. It will show that there have been a few threads on that subject.
