changes to forum

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Luv Ya Dottie!!!

Yeh, the new look is clean & spiffy...
But we now have to go to the menu on the left then select 'Unread Posts'.
Useter be available on the right with a single click.
As that's the selection 99.9% of Forum members will be after immediately they log in, can we please have that one back as a stand-alone option?
Pretty please? :P :P
Regards & God bless,

I've been looking into the 2 requests that you & others have mentioned.
The structure of the forum software (phpBB) is totally different now than what the old forum ran.
Does anyone have knowledge of where I can alter the code?
I have a bit of an idea but I don't wish to cripple the forum if I can avoid it.

As more and more forums move to this latest update the default will be to start at the left top of the screen, just like reading a book. I think it's a great innovation, a one click index in a drop down menu. As for the transition to the new style, well done Bruce, silky smooth and much faster now

I didn't do anything after the change over - at least I can't remember doing anything! (Insert Dot's comment here)

If you go to unread posts via the top LH menu then save the page to favourites you only have to click on that favourite to take you straight to Unread Posts. I very rarely see the index page. However, at the moment I do have to go to the index to Mark Forums Read.
