Here in Tassie, life's good :) I just had to share. It appears I left Winter far behind us.

Campbell town. Tassie is still cold at night, but great days so far

Thanks Jon have camped there ourselves great spot...but then again all of Tassie is a great spot .

Yes, Bernie, that is true. I was 'born and bred' Tasmanian but had the extra head removed when I first retired many years ago :)

Having come down here from NW Victoria, I find it like Vic was two months ago, yet unfortunately NW Vic in now in drought, and crops are being harvested as fodder.

I don't envy Tasmanians the ever lasting cold...but that does help creates that lovely English/European scenery.

Yes Bruce, only up to 1.5 metres which is almost calm, but still many people got sea sick.

When are they going to open up the barway at the mouth of the Murray so you can do the trip?

We have been in Tassie during drought Jon thru the middle back in 06 dry as then .Oatlands reservoir was empty Flew over it then in a mates Cessna 172 . Oddly there was heavy cloud cover on the day we were VFR at 500 ft. Mate was shooting sheep as there was no food or water dams had dead and dying stock in them .
My Dad was born in Richmond so I have a connection with the Apple Island .
Have been 4 times would like one more before what ever .
Have a great grandmother wedding certificate . Married on the banks of the Derwent River Van Diemen's land .
