Trailer lights

Post by Greynomad »

We stayed a while ago in a CP in the middle of nowhere.
We arrived at dusk and pulled up where indicated by Mgr.
Next morning, he asked if we could move Jim's trailer, as it was over the path to the toilets, and someone almost stumbled over it the previous night.
Some lateral thinking: hardware store down the road - bought some 3/4 inch galvanised half-saddles (for conduit), and had some self-tapping metal-threads in my box-of-bits.
Screwed them to the back of the taillight mounts, and dropped in two of the solar lights we use for marking the ropes & pegs when we tie down the awning - so we & others don't trip over them.
Worked a treat!

Yes. The 1500kg capacity single-axle model (weighs 300kg)... all we need for Jim the Junior Jeep @ 1020kg.
