awning transport

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

ah you boys are funny.
OP is never satisfied according to his missus.
The link
https://www.nhvr.gov.au/files/201402-01 ... ements.pdf
is interesting information but more of the same, snipped it reads-
"Width limit for vehicles is 2.5 metres. Any anti-skid devices
mounted on wheels, central tyre inflation systems, lights, mirrors,
reflectors, signalling devices or tyre pressure gauges fitted to the
vehicle are to be disregarded when measuring width"
Hence the awning may well end up painted bright orange, LED lit and be called a "signalling device".

A snippet from here http://www.transport.nt.gov.au/__data/a ... /ibv13.pdf
states that your mirrors are OK, William, -
"Vehicles with a GVM over 3.5t may have mirrors that project up to 230mm
beyond the widest part of the vehicle providing they can fold down to
150mm."

Only if the signalling device is ADR compliant.
