G,Day All
I am with Shirley on this one, I have an Apple Mini I pad with Wi-Fi and 4G and have found it faultless in over twelve months of use on the road and at home, we also have a Toshiba Lap top which travels with us as well, the I pad got more use than the lap top on the last trip as it was easier to use.
my two bobs worth
Cheers

Another vote for the Ipad, we've had ours for nearly 4 years and love it, easy to use and has never let us down.

Re: which one?
We have an ipad and a Toshiba laptop. I find the ipad is frustrating if you want to follow up on stuff or even to get to right place in a hurry. He gets the ipad and I set up the laptop in the caravan. I have a Telstra dongle and it does the job very well, I did insist on having an aerial for the dongle, which I am sure makes a difference when we are way out of town.
Good luck in the hunt Dot. Whatever works best for me may not be best for everyone. This is a matter of personal needs and intended use of the machinery.

I would take the Microsoft surface. I have an older one and love the fact that it is a Windows based computer. It makes life easy when moving between tablet and laptop as they will recognize each others files. I also have a Samsung galaxy tablet and although I like it, it can be frustrating with regards to it being android and not windows.

Re: which one?
Dot how about if you try Linux/Mint?etc on that laptop before you go investing in more headaches?
You can try it/test it without losing exactly what you already have.
When you open Internet Explorer how many toolbars do you have across the top?
Might just need all the spamming stuff removed?

Re: which one?
After seeing Margaret shift from her new HP laptop that her work provided to the SurfacePro I'd say the time has finally arrived that a tablet can outperform a laptop. I'd put it down to the speed of the solid state drive v the conventional hard drive that gives it the upper hand, both have outstanding processor speeds and what ever the other thing is that creates the bottle neck between hard drive and processor, but the surfacepro seems to be built in a way that optimises the benefits of all of it. The boy has even bought one to replace his desktop and he is mad keen gamer, he says it just so much smoother... what ever that meansToolman wrote:Laptop, and not one with a half eaten apple on it

Is that how many of each type of fruit machine you need to buy to equal one surface pro, or how many PC base laptops and note books you could buy for the price of a fruit machineMrcoolabah1au wrote:Six of one and half dozen of the other ok
