Much easier interface, and everything just WORKS and when it doesn't work any more it was a sign you needed to buy the latest and greatest fruit machine! let's face it, if they really did "just work" and never gave any problems, how would they continue to sell new ones? I'm still using my 2004 MacBook Pro... and SWMBO has a still-functioning 1999 model! We just keep updating the software...
And the 'limited' market? What's the top-selling tablet? (Which is still an Apple computer.)
I'm well aware that I'll never convert you, but I wish the non-Apple fraternity would get their facts straight, and acknowledge that it, too, is a 'real' computer.
For me, 'upgrading' from my Mac to what you call a 'real computer' would be like 'upgrading' from a Rolls to a Holden.

I didn't know the Galaxy Tab S was an Apple operating system, I thought it was Android. Or is it a thing where the most sold becomes the top selling rather than the current purchasing trends? I think the Surface Pro will out perform the Apple product in sales in 2016, it is a superior unit and at a better price...... but I'm guessing that is something an Apple user will not accept.

I'm well aware that I'll never convert you, but I wish the non-Apple fraternity would get their facts straight, and acknowledge that it, too, is a 'real' computer.

Real computers have access to the operating system so fine tuning and tailoring the machine to the user requirements is an option. It should never be a case of accepting what the manufacturer deems you need and that is that, it will never be a real computer until that level of thinking goes and full access is available.

99% of users don't need or want to know what's going on inside.
Otherwise everyone buying a car would need to have a mechanic's certificate.
They just want it to go when they need it.
What goes on inside your watch? Do you tinker with it?
What about your light switches - at home or on the road...

And, T1, I have never seen a queue outside a shop for the latest Galaxy phone...
Seen lots of TV reports where the laptops in use all have a glowing Apple on the outside of the lid, though.

Unless it run MVS it's not a real computer. Ahh the good old days of JCL.

In the meantime I'll stick to the fruit machines.

That is called paid promotional sponsorship, common in the movies these days as well.

Make the price higher and many will think that this means better quality. You see this all the time on the supermarket shelves, look on the label and many of the lower priced, mid range priced and over priced items all come from the same factory. Over priced simply means greater profits, the fruit machine company is a perfect example of this, the product is made in China after all.
