geelong area??

anyone know of good free camping in or around geelong. is the waterfront frowned upon??

Remember the carry on with that guy from the Geelong tourism back a couple of yrs ago on a far far away place on the subject of "free camping"?

couldn't find the showgrounds lol and now Im in a c park. was in anglesea and nearly passed out at their price of 73 for a bit of dirt. geelong park is 37. will look for showground for tomorrow. will ring them thanks for the number.

Hi AM , I highly recommend the showgrounds. They are worth finding, enter via gate 2. :)

Hope this isn't to late AM, the show grounds are part of the Geelong race course complex,
so look for the race course signs down towards the football oval and you should be ok.
