These models have a problem with distorted video, black and blue screens which result in crashes and computer rebooting.
Apple will repair the fault which is caused by the video chip overheating at no cost as long as the MacBook Pro fits into the range of computers known to have the fault. They replace the full logic board in the laptop.
Here’s a link to the Apple official website page referring to the fault. https://www.apple.com/au/support/macboo ... deoissues/
Please distribute this to staff and students as the Repair Program expires on 26 February 2016.

Re: Got a Mac ???
Must be a mistake Peter, all the fruit machine owners tell us they just work, nothing about blue screens and crashes, that sounds almost like the symptoms they claim real computers suffer... nah, couldn't be right could it

A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows

I'm agreeing with you on this one. If so they are so good why has Apple set up their "geniuses" on line?T1 Terry wrote:Must be a mistake Peter, all the fruit machine owners tell us they just work, nothing about blue screens and crashes, that sounds almost like the symptoms they claim real computers suffer... nah, couldn't be right could it

Of course, but it's not MS (or their users) that boast how good their fruit is. If the fruit machines are so great they would not need repair geniuses?shonky wrote:Hi, all.

Hi,all
MS users don't boast about how good their computers are for a good reason. Think about it.

My daughter and her husband were brain washed apple fanatics until they bought a surface pro earlier this year. They now have their iPads for sale. They've seen the light. They still use iPhones but I'm guessing that will change when their contracts are up.
