Hmmm...... but Dottie seems to know a bit about it. The stories Dottie tells of the power of this "dot" it must whistle a turn just before the paint starts to peal off the wallsChuck wrote:Is it?

Re: Hard to believe but....
Well, a 3 hr epic getting the bus on the low loader in the pouring rain. We packed so much in it the rear springs had turned backwards so as soon as we went up the ramp the back of the bus dug in to the road, a couple bit of board and a run up and hit the road again and threw the boards up the road.... and we was stuck. Jack the bus up, drive the Mazda over to give us 240vac from the inverter (love them lithium batteries) and cut the legs off the chassis. Have another crack at it and.... the motor had been running so long we ran out of gas in the little LPG bottle tied on the back. Fortunately Brian had the forethought to fill a spare, connect that up and away we go again.......not, for some reason now it didn't have enough grunt to climb up the truck ramps, think the gas refill may have been crap gas, so the Mazda to the rescue again and Brian pushed the bus up while I sat in the bus and drove it at full throttle. Scary sh*tte I can tell you, steer wheels right on the edge of the truck deck, next to no brakes still and once it started to move I had to stay on full throttle.... mostly because it was stuck on the floor, the seat wasn't bolted down and everything happened very quickly
But, it is loaded and on its way, now I have to try and beat it to Mannum to drive it back off at the other end.
Yes, Margaret has the epic on video, everyone drenched to the bone, footage of the step ladder to get in and out of the bus included I think
Let the adventure begin, Mannum here we come, well Brian and Margaret are gong to wait till tomorrow and make it a slightly more leisurely trip I believe
Just looking at the photo Wayne put up and the clearance between the body and rear tyres, not enough room to get the hand in there at the moment, hope it doesn't get knocked off on the weigh bridge.... but a quad axle should be ok I think

Good show! I knew you could do it!
Maybe a couple of blocks on the axle BEFORE loading might have helped. lol
We'll blame Brian for his expertise in 'stacking' it all onboard!!
Terry I reckon that earth moving business a couple of doors down from your 'depot' would have a ramp or bank of dirt to help unload it.
