I love being the bitch with good news esp when it is my friends :) Gman had check up with GP today then we had lunch with an old primary school friend and his wife who were in the Mt Barker cp when the mechanic rang to tell Greg that the clutch thingy he got yesterday wasn't as good as he would like to see and didn't feel he could put it in so Greg rang the wreckers and explained the situation and they are going to get a better one and courier it up to the mechanic at their cost so all back on track (for now) Chuck you now have competition for the lingering longer present, Greg did a sterling job this morning:) he thought we had already left but he was mistaken :) :) :)

Had a very pleasant day with more forum members Bobk and Lynn, they came up to pick up our poor conked out ride on mower. :( Between the yard dwellers Greg & Dee, Bob & Lynn and George & myself we solved most if not all of the worlds problems :) :) well we thought so :) :)

...so as usual Dot and George are great hosts, and we all had a good chinwag. Greg and I walked into town and went to heckle the workers in the ops hop, to find a piece of Tupperware which I've never seen before...even had to ask Dot what it was! Quite a curiosity. Bought it. I love opshops!

Irish Fire Insurance

A man and his wife moved back home to Cavan, from London.

The wife had a wooden leg and to insure it in Britain was £2000.00 a year!

When they arrived in Bailieborough, they went to an Insurance agency to see how much it would cost to insure the wooden leg.

The agent looked it up on the computer and said to the couple, '€39.00.'

The husband was shocked and asked why it was so cheap here in Ireland to insure, because it cost him £2000.00 in England!

The agent turned his computer screen to the couple and said, 'Well, here it is on the screen,it says:

*Any wooden structure, with a sprinkler system over it, is €39.00.*'

I no longer have problems with lingering longer any more Dot... I've given up lingering longer or hoping to linger longer or ever lingering & hoping things might graduate or gravitate a bit longer ... but it never did ! :?

So I've just given up & now carry a pepper shaker around with me. :(
