Re: Where's Bruce?
Well after todays drive over Strathalbyn we arrived back at the houseboat near Mannum.
The "Soundsbytheriver" concert obviously got under way around midday.
http://www.soundsbytheriver.com.au/
The town is absolute chocka block full of people. At about 4PM the venue was almost full and there were hundreds of people flocking towards the area with swags, chairs, clothes & other gear for the concert proper tonight.
One estimate was around 4000 or more going to be there.
The football/showgrounds are totally full of cars, caravans & motorhomes. There are several big busses doing shuttles back & forth from several of the parking areas to the venue.
Terry the cars are parked right back to your workshop!!! Gives you some idea?
I was going to take the boat up but it's a bit windy and there are many houseboats already parked along that side of the river. (since a few days ago!)

Can you hear the music from there Bruce?
A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows

Yes, faintly every now & then as the wind changes. Can hear the drum beat.
The wind is blowing the wrong way or else we'd hear it easily. Later tonight it should be much louder.
A long line up of acts will be on before Jimmy Barnes etc. I think Wendy said he's due on from 10PM to 11PM.

We attended last year and managed to find a space close to the stage and the music was too loud for me, but not as bad as "Day on the Green" at Tanunda where Sharyn had surprised me with front row tickets and we were right in front of a speaker, I am still vibrating and that was over 12 months ago.

I think I can, a friend is there and she rang to tell me Jon Stevens or some one can still belt it out, heard him but not too much of what she said.
Is that what caused your ear probs Geoff?

Last work medical I had, my hearing was 99.something percent, it's probably less now.
