Wonder if this is just an isolated problem to your unit or a common fault. All would be a bit dicky in wind I would think.

I'm sure there are lots out there who wouldn't have had as many problems as us.
The portable unit we're now using is held in place by 3 concrete blocks - too many rocks in the ground for pegging it - & we've had some pretty strong & gusty winds over the past couple of weeks.

Solid as a rock. :D

What's the cloud cover like? Also do you have the correct LNB angle?

Yes Craig, i did. Found where the error was & it was in my head! :roll:

Whilst I was running around like a demented bush turkey at a rifle range... herself was on the computer with Mr Google & found a video explaining the intricacies of the SatKing box. So after watching it a couple of times I pressed the appropriate button at the appropriate time & all is now good in the home of the traveling worryberries! :oops:

ps: I will be leaving the training wheels on for a bit longer whilst Trina pats me on the had & says... "There, there now!'
