Why would it fall out
The drawer is UNDER the table top unless I am removing something to use. Duh Chuck.

Not my idea- saw it on another forum but attached differently. I said sail tracks bur was corrected- they are wheel brush sail tracks.

Ihave another idea about cutlery in a mobile enviroment. My chief of staff had me cover all the sharp stuff, eg cutting knives, with plastic while travelling. Stops degrading the edges. I bought a lenght of plastic edging used for ply sheets from that big hardware place. By using a heat source such as a heat gun or a hair dryer (takes a bit longer), cut a piece long enough for the blade and heat it enough to bend it for a curved blade and also to grip the blade. A cheap method of keeping all those cutting blades safe from dulling and also from cutting you when removing from the drawer.

Plenty of knee room even for over 6ft better half. My sharp knives are all in a knife block .
