Bedfords and other older vehicles used genuine rubber which is terrible for 'bleeding'.
I wonder if that tyre black paint would seal it?
On my old Bedford bus I rubbed a liberal amount of silicon boat wax into the paint & the stain was much easier to wash off.
Don't do it if you think you might be going to paint it any time soon though!

I have used Penetrol on window rubbers and exterior plastic trim to rejuvenate them. Worth a try if you have some.

Is that the stuff you mix with paint to make it stick to glass and that sort of thing George? There is another Penetrol that is a rusty bolt penetrating oil but I doubt they are both the same thing.... but maybe????

That's it. The penetrating oil one is Penetrene.

Yes, that sounds about right now you mention it, will give the Penetrol a go on the Mazda rubbers and Kombi rubbers, they tend to bleed out a bit and make dirty lines in the paint.

They have a weekend in July...when that happen ?
Maaate that's years away .
Might be away then ourselves have a birthday thingy some time in July ??. Not mine a old mate .
Don't remember the exact date . Old mate will tell me when its getting close , he lives in Morven .
