House Sold - Joining the SA Chapter of OZeRVnews

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

House Sold - Joining the SA Chapter of OZeRVnews

Post by SteveW »

Some are already aware that it is our intention to move back to Adelaide - Glenelg in fact. Adelaide is our original home and where our families are. We have no further reason to stay in Melbourne where we have been for the past 29 years. Our house sold at auction today - ok price but would have been nice to have got more.

We are down-sizing our accommodation and going from 2 cars to one as well, which is why the Terios is going on the market soon.

Settlement date is 20th May, so plenty of time to sort out our stuff. We have already done the bulk of getting rid of 70 years of crap.

Will keep you in formed of progress.

I don't like auctions either but that's the way they do it in Melbourne mostly.

You did well to get a sale, over 90% turn in at auction in Sydney I'm told. We are just hoping the Lake Illawarra area is well enough insulated from the Sydney property dynamics by being in an area where Sydney folk retire to or move to due to financial stress and commute via the electrified rail network. I guess we will know in a few mths

Our's was passed in but negotiations with the highest bidder got the money up to where we needed to be.
