Need a good stiff drink

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

T1 Terry wrote:Durif is mostly found in the Rutherglen and Glenrowan areas, Barbera in the King Valley region, both in the Victorian wine regions, they seem to like the cold so no idea how they fair up that way. There is a great debate between Rutherglen and Glenrowan as to who makes the better Durif, I still think the very best comes from Warrabilla Winery 30 something km out of Rutherglen, but I'm open to a round table tasting competition to sort out the winner  Tom (tomcarm) swears by the Glenrowan offering so we will have to arrange a get together of the wine tasters :D
ME! ME! ME!
Count me in, T1.
SWMBO today bought me a couple more bottles of Durif (local ones) for quaffing. We've already laid half-a-dozen down for keepies.
I'd be willing to sacrifice myself in the interests of deciding the Rutherglen/Glenrowan question.
O'course the first plantings of Durif were around this area. So we may have the advantage of more experience with the grape. ;) :D
