Ray I took a couple of photos of Leigh's redgum table.
It is over 6ft long.
The scrubbing brush on the table is about 6" long.
The table is around 2" thick.

Re: slab of redgum
The thing about the redgum is that your coffee cup won't hurt it. We have a redgum table 5'6" x 5'6" - love it.

Re: slab of redgum
Thanks, Bruce.
An impressive splinter!!
I wish we had room in the house for another table that size.
Unfortunately our expandable 6-to-10-seater occupies the entire dining room, and the only alternative space has the baby grand in it.
I did make side-tables out of a Jarrah table-top that was donated to our Men's Shed. Claimed it as it came in the door!
It was going to be four side-tables, until SiL saw the one quarter I brought in to SWMBO to show her the wood after I'd polished away all the black laquer/crud. She's using it as a cutting board! AAAArrgghh! Surface I'd spent hours sanding - down to 2500 grit - was chopped to sh!t when we last visited her. Kept my mouth firmly shut... just shed a silent tear.

Some pix of the Jarrah-topped side tables.
Pedestals & feet were, in a former life, a redgum fencepost which was declared redundant by a friend.

That looks very good Ray. Something to be proud of when you step back and see the finished product.
