Hi Dot and Shirley . Is what you use to wash your bus's the same as a truck wash .?? What chemicals ?
I just read the label on the CT18 , it says its good for rubber? BUT how many of us actually measure the dose that we chuck in the bucket ?
Plus it says to leave to dry over nite is better , then hose off . I don't do that last bit I just hose off as I'm going .

WHEN :) we (he) washes the bus it is usually with the household detergent (Earth brand) but if he was going to use anything other he is always one for following the directions on the product. I am guilty of being a "chucker" and also a "folder" but when at public ones I am a big "scruncher" :) :) whoops OT :)

Bernie, we are like you always hose the CT18 off as we wash the Coaster, maybe leaving it on longer is the best way, we have also used another truck wash same result with the rubber around both windscreen & back window.

I have left the CT18 on the work van for too long especially in the arvo. You really have to work it a bit to get the streaky bits after it has gone hard. I always try to do the hose it off as you go thing.

I have been cleaning cars for a living since 1992 and since 2000 have just used plain water, a soft sponge and top quality chamois. I found that using detergents and wash and waxes gradually leave a build up which then requires a cut and polish to restore the paintwork to original condition. I also never wash in a circular motion, only longitudinally, thus eliminating the possibility of swirl marks. Grease marks, tar spots or insects may require separate treatment of those spots only.

So Jon the "love" affair with you know who started on a street corner all those years back.....hehe .
On another note I bought two of those air/water thingys that live below my air tanks . Well one blew the bottom of its self today ?
Not what I would have thought to be a normal occurrence ? Any thought out there as to why , I only had about half my air up when it happened .

Was that the cause of the slow air pressure build up? I've seen them do it quite a few times, I thought they had banned them because they dump oil and crap in puddles and along the road when the compressor starts to show signs of wear.
