Journey Completed!

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Journey Completed!

Post by Greynomad »

Like Ros & Kiara, I have been on a 21-year journey battling Multiple Myeloma, a bone-marrow cancer.
While it has damaged every major bone in my body, and collapsed five vertebrae, I'm still kicking!
(When I was diagnosed in Oct '94, the Drs discovered that I already had two collapsed vertebrae, and predicted that IF I survived until Christmas, I'd never walk again. I've since completed two 10km bushwalks through Carnarvon Gorge Qld! And a year ago I gave up using a walking stick.)
Anyway, that's old news.
Today's news is that I've just come from a visit to my oncologist.
I've had a series of tests over the past two months, including a full-body CAT scan, MRIs of various parts, and cameras poked into places I'd rather not discuss.
The upshot is that the specialists can find NO TRACE OF MYELOMA!
I'm in full remission!
:D :D :D
:P :P :P

Now, let's get on with life...
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Now THAT is good news Ray......... !!!
Does that mean you might come back to Mannum one day just long enough to actually get to TRAVEL on a houseboat rather that sit on it?
I'm guessing another red tonight? (or 2?)

"tanks" here--
Just great news to hear mate---shows you what motorhome life can bring.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Well done Ray, now you can sleep easy. Helped along by a couple of the nice Rutherglen Reds of course. So what's your next challenge???

Great news Ray, I'll put it down to good living close to the home of the greatest Durif the world has ever known  So, to achieve Dottie's goal you need to travel out the Warrabilla, sample a few of their fine vintages, stock up on the favourites, maybe leaning towards Joy's pick of the bunch, and a fine celebration of such great news ;)
