VAST General Info please...

This is Eddie's. As you can see it swivels up from its locked down possie and rotates by the angle you pull the wheel carrier out.

Unfortunately, our spare wheel carrier is a fixed one... and it's 2m+ from the top of the wheel to the roof... so there's a fair bit of 'extension' involved for us! Multi-stage pole required? Now there's an engineering challenge for someone!

To add to this ,DONT buy a thin steel dish as warping is a big problem. Get a nice dish with a thick turn around the out side, Ive set up a lot of sat dishes for campers and the only time there has been a problem is when the dish is bent. And as bigger dish you can have is always best.. Happy watching...

A few years back prior to full digital coverage in regional areas I purchased a Vast box and smart card together with dish etc.

I registered it as a traveler and as digital came on board forgot to renew and it was switched of.

Can anyone if I can reactivate that card as I now plan to put a dish on the roof of my rig.

Yep, just go into the website & reactivate it as a traveler.

set it up in your back yard, and get it showing all the vast info channels, then go to the vast site and do the renewal thing. It should come back to life within an hour or so, and maybe less

This is important because if it's not turned on and tuned into the satellite it wont re-activate
