Free/Cheap camper Virgin

After some sage advice from Dot and George we are planning to camp at Rapid Bay, had a look at it this week and am now preparing for the long week end.

Repack the bus, buy a Baby Q (no fires allowed), sort out the crap we don't need, pack the fishing gear.

Look out Long Weekend I'm not gonna be a virgin much longer.

You'll love the baby Q Russell, I thought they were a bit small and a gimmick when Lorraine got ours. Could not have been more wrong, they can cook just about anything and do a great roast etc.

We also got a silicone liner cook mat from Bunnings and cook on that when BBQ,ing keeps the grill top clean and can be wiped off with a paper towel, another great invention, don't know why it doesn't burn, but they last forever, wouldn't leave home without it.

I've pooh pahed the friends with Baby Q's but now I've got one I'm like a reformed smoker.

I've got a silicone sheet never though of using on a grill, thanks for the tip.

I tried the silicone sheet but the meat came out a bit sheet. It was more like stewed than grilled. My experience only. Not bagging the product.

We used the Baby Q in our caravan and loved it. I had a 6 metre gas hose made up so I could move it about. Our MH has a built in BBQ which is convenient but probably not as good a BBQ since it is hotplate only and not a grill plate.

I normally only use the sheet for marinated meats and things on sticks cause the marinade stick like stuff on a blanket when cooked and usually burnt too.

We always use baking paper on our bbq,or even public bbqs,does the same job as the liner,and you just throw it in the bin, no washing it up.
