As scary as it seems the poor child (35yrs old) is the spitting image of me and so is her daughter (8yrs old) feel sorry for them if you must but you know the saying "shit happens" They arrived at 11am with cake in hand. They had left Melb at 4am, just packed up the car and decided to come to Adelaide for a couple of days, staying at the Westbeach CP and taking the girls to the water thingo down there. Nice to just pick up and go huh? Brian was NOT impressed with the small alien things he has never seen up close and personal before so he found a good spot to hide and waited till they had departed before he came out. (very smart pussy I have) Back to normality now.!! Beautiful sunny day here in downtown Strath :)

Took Helen (TBO) for a day out to a place she has never been before :? :? that would be good old Ikea :D . The boys were told to bugger off to where ever and not to contact us that we shall contact them when we were ready to be picked up ;) We entered Ikea at roughly 10am and looked in every draw, nook and cranny imaginable until we were totally worn out. We headed for the food place and fell into some seats where we rang the boys to come and join us for a coffee. They arrived within half an hr so after a couple of drinks of coffee and lemon drink we all piled in the car and headed home. Yes we did buy a few things that do not need to be assembled ;) but the day was all about doing something that Helen had not done before. Now you want to know what time we left the building :?: it was 3pm. Really enjoyed the day and I reckon Helen did as well, had to keep lifting her bottom jaw up     She even walked past the bed area, I thought she may of have a nanna nap while we were there.

Did you go to the area where they try to hide the returned/failed DIY cupboards??? it's a hoot and suddenly you are aware of how the furniture is just made up of really cheap n nasty chipboard with very good quality coverings on the surface. We used to live quite close to an Ikea shop and the returns department was my favourite part of the shop. I wasn't being fooled by pretty finishes and I could see how someone had stuffed it up, but was very happy buying things that were easily salvaged and for a third of the original price..... I miss Ikea now that we moved away.

A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered.

Upon their arrival, the doctor said that the hospital was testing an

amazing new high-tech machine that would transfer a portion of

the mother's labor pain to the baby's father, without the need for

any physical connection. He asked if they were interested, Both

said they were very much in favor of it.

The doctor set the pain transfer to 10 percent for starters,

explaining that even 10 percent was probably more pain than the

father had ever experienced before. But as the labor

progressed, the husband felt fine and asked the doctor to go

ahead and kick it up a notch.

The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20 percent pain transfer.

The husband was still feeling fine. The doctor then checked the

husband's blood pressure and was amazed at how well he was

doing.

At this point they decided to try for 50 percent. The husband

continued to feel quite well. Since the pain transfer was obviously

helping the wife considerably, the husband encouraged the doctor

to transfer ALL the pain to him. The wife delivered a healthy baby

with virtually no pain, and the husband had experienced none.

She and her husband were ecstatic.

They arrived home to find the milkman dead on the porch

Good one Peter. That system could be used when paternity is in doubt. lots of men would be forever grateful :) Yes Deborah I always go there to see if there is any latches etc that may come in handy. :) Have never bought any furniture from there, go to get ideas. Did buy one latch thing once, got it home and G said "Nah no good" but it was used in the bus and someone we know is very impressed with it :)
