Sunshine Dump Point

Apparently there is a one at the Sunshine Mobil Service Centre Dump Point (Free) and I think this is about 40 kms from Sunbury.

Not sure if the Dump Point is at the northbound, southbound, or both ???

Can anyone conform that this Dump Point is in this location and it is free ?

Apparently the Sunshine Dump Point in Melbourne is at the North Bound Mobil Service Centre, use truck lane, after pumps, marked as Bus Effluent Point. Suitable for all vehicles , Service centre for fuel and McDonalds

Just a question

Are any/all points of interest, eg dump points and camp sites etc being giving here on this forum to be given to the CMCA and their members.

Dont get me wrong, I considered Geowiki as a magnificent idea but I also consider it was abused and I would not like some of my sights to be given to all and sundry so looks like I will not be able to post any sites on here as well.

I am prepared to share some of my sites with closer friends but not every one who can get hold of the geowiki dump etc.

I often camp in out of way spots that are not usually in the books etc. often giving by locals as they are their sites where they fish and camp etc. Any sight giving by a local in an area where I am I consider given in confidence and I prefer to protect from general distribution as many times I have seen the whisbangs etc with the old mate and I assume know many share the files etc.

Just my feelings but not sure why we cant have our own database and not be given it to the CMCA where many of us are either not members or past members who prefer to keep the info here for this forum and not be pirated off to others as soon as it is posted.

I think this should hold for all information posted here. I would be disappointed if the information we post here on Lithiums etc are broadcasted on the other forums as these forums caused us a lot of grief when we first started the project and told us to go away for 5 years and then perfect it and then come back. That's why we started our private forum where we do our experimenting and help people who are interested in the batteries. It would be a shame if the information is given away as I will stop posting any info of what I do and what I have installed.

I hope people respect this forum as a single identity and not an extension of others for the collection of information etc.

I see no harm in posting widely known locations but even I have several places I often use that I would only tell to an isolated few. I'm talking camping spots rather than dump points.
I see no reason at all to not publish dump points.
I see no reason to scare the beJesus out of people for no apparent reason.

I respect your thoughts but I ask this in jest, just to highlight my point... OK ?

I would like to know how you find "your campsites"?
If you ask others, or use sites from a book or a list, then you must be staying at "someone else's campsite" ? LOL

I feel that we all should share as many sites as possible, so we spread out rather than grouping in one spot.
Think of it this way,
50 vans in any area overnight and 1 known location = 50 vans in one location !!
or
50 vans in any area with 30 known locations and you might get a site to yourself !!

As I said - I respect your feelings and am not preaching at you to change ... just listing my thoughts for your reference OK ?
