G'day Dot,
Went with the ebay link stuff then used the silver insulation tape from Bunnings to seal the edges. Secured it with the toggle clips from Whitworths Marine. Certainly insulates really well. Reasonably stiff and doesn't like to be rolled up so it just sits on the bed until parked up and needed.
No dirty thoughts here now Dotty....

Re: windscreen solar sheeting
how did you go Dirk (or others) - should I buy a sewing machine or just purchase from solarscreen?

The cloth silver tape works excellent for holding the pieces together and making tabs for feeding through the door so you can hold it on, or bits of the heavy duty 3M Velcro stuck onto the underside of the tab and door pillar. The heavy duty stuff doesn't need to be 2 different type Velcro, it actually locks really well to itself.

Far far to expensive is that solarscreen, he gets that stuff from Italy in 40mt rolls then flogs it off at around $100mt

If you get the bubble stuff, cut it to size then take it to a place that fixes horse rugs to get it sewn.

Re: windscreen solar sheeting
We bought some bubble foil stuff off ebay, used Bunnings tape to run around the edges (each piece is doubled) and this works really well.
Tried velcro dots but they let go when it gets hot.
Now we just tuck them under the scissor shades behind the windscreens, or the pull down shades on the side windows.
Happy with result and ease of install when stopped.
