Fitted new GME TX3100 UHF radio and antenna with remote speaker (at my ear).

Oh, and balanced the LiFe cells (correctly this time) using a 50W downlight bulb and a wall wart.

Hi, all.

Fitted a new step for Mrs shonky to access the Luton peak. Used a meranti batten, cutting it to length with my super saw aka the disc grinder. Worked a treat. Happy wife, happy life.
See you on the back roads,

Meranti? Keep your eye open for a bit of Oregon laying around.
Years ago all the wooden builder's planks were Oregon. Just make sure you don't get a splinter from it... they sting!

I like Meranti. Didn't know it was still available.

Pulled the fuse block come circuit board thing apart on the Ford Trader truck, apparently it had been swimming without the required protective coating. A quick scratch around the needed terminals and plugged it back in without the plastic case around it, stop lights, park lights and indicators are again functional so another step closer to rego. It seems the air proportioning valve for the 2 tanks has expired so now have to wait till Monday for a new one to arrive..... so much for leaving here early Sunday, still have to pack the truck once it's registered.

G took the temporary roof cover for the 2nd air con off and then cut through the ceiling ready for the nice man with his forklift to come on Tuesday to lift the unit onto the roof.

I fixed the flashing dash lights, gradual over heat when driving high in the rev range and loss of exhaust brake in the Mazda, I discovered the alternator bracket bolt had fallen out, a replacement seems to have fixed all those problems in one hit :D Now to find out why the water pump and roof vent fan have stopped working.... maybe that circuit breaker I fitted in the back of the cupboard in a moment of weakness
