G,Day all and Dot
re taking the motorhome down to the lake while sailing( I recently bought a Farr 6000 trailerable yacht)(second childhood) way back in the day( pre motorhome) when we had a Sonata 26 we used to do a regatta held at lake Keepit near Tamworth NSW, the regatta is held over the June long weekend when it gets pretty cold up that way, we never camped as a lot of the visitors used too but we booked a lodge for the duration of the regatta, needless to say we were warm and toasty at night while the plebs were freezing, walking down to the boats in the morning was walking over frozen grass and as we had to get into the water to get onto the boat, gumboots were the go,(if you fell in you had around 5 minutes before hypothermia set in) so with us now having the motorhome next years regatta is on the cards, it will tow nicely behind the M/H and we will be very comfortable down by the water( that's if there is any water in the dam) and I can convince the bride to go.
we loved our sailing days and now we can have the best of both worlds, we can travel and explore the waterways in comfort
Cheers
Chris

George, If you find any white plastic bits on your roof they may have come of my fridge vent, I lost a few bits of plastic at the last place that we were both at.Newcastle George wrote:Moved the bus from its' parking spot up the road into our yard and began the external cleaning process, roof first.

Changed the anode in the HWS - hmmm, think it was overdue somewhat, looked like a bit of wire???
Also decided to start up my new generator that we bought about 18 months ago.
Pinched some of Dad's good Mobil 1 oil, put some fuel in it and work everybody up, Ha ha ha...

Yep, 1st pull.Dot wrote: But did the genny run
It's at least 3 years old and never even had oil in the sump.
Bought it off Gumtree from the original purchaser, he had never even taken it out of the box.
It's a Ross 3.5 Kva.

Pretty happy with it. Ran everything all at once in the bus, A/C HWS, 3 TV's, kettle, fans, did it all no probs.
Really only bought it as a backup as we are doing a T1 Lithium setup as soon as we can save enough.
But we have the room, so why not.

wow that sure gave it a workout for sure. We have a Honda 6.5kva and I don't think we have even put that much on ours. Just one question please, where have you got the 3 TV's?
