Camp site Echuca

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Think I saw or read that but can't remember if its for big rigs, (40 foot bus) I'll have to check Wiki Camps tomorrow when the reception is better.

Thanks for the info, appreciated.

Depends on what you want/need Dirk . We stayed for two week on the river about 14 or so Ks west along the MurryVally Hwy .
Turn right down Odwyers road (about two or so Ks in last part dirt )
There is a dunny down the western end if you need one . Other wise its self sufficient only .

Rich River golf club at Moama is a top spot, plenty of room but I think you have to join the club as associate member now, about $10 a year.

Hi Dirk, Try Wharparilla Flora Reserve RA, 4 km NW of Echuca. Sooty would be happy there. A bit close to Hwy. Freebie. Shade. Not suitable if wet. We have stayed there in the past. Regards, Hans

Pulled into the Wharparilla site.... nice and dry but through the night it poured and now we have 360 degree water frontage....Lol. All good though staying for a few days at this stage so hopefully it will dry out. Ground is clay and gravel of sorts and there is a "sink" hole sized pot hole on the entry if anyone is contemplating coming in here, big enough to swallow a caravan. Sooty is treading lightly and no trouble with him staying out for long to do his business.

The one near the bridge, think its the rotary one looks like only a day stop.

Jon,

Was that you and Kay that passed us when we were sitting in a rest area on the Murray Valley Hwy on Tuesday last . Nice looking outfit if it was.

I doubt it as I think Jon went from Bathurst Northwards.
Dirk, how much muddy track to you have to get out of there?
Be careful trying too soon as most of the Murray's banks are VERY deep mud.
It sticks to your wheels & quickly builds up on the wheels and wheel arches. Once that happens you are in big trouble!
Flood watch today in the Adelaide Hills & they are already handing out sand bags!
Let's hope it doesn't get to you!
