can anyone tell how or if possible to start an equalisation charge on a PL. I have 3 Batteries I want to equalise separately but cannot find how to force the mode into operation.

Re: PL 40 equalisation mode
If I don't respond it is due to little (if any most of the time) internet signal where we are at the moment.

Re: PL 40 equalisation mode
If it is the same as the Dingo, press and hold button when BatV is showing and do the same with Boost and Float until Equal shows.
Hope this helps.
The manual page 6 should assist.

Re: PL 40 equalisation mode
George has it, press and hold in the battery voltage window on the normal menu and you can force the unit into the next mode of charging, a short push returns it to the standard menu.
To adjust the different charge setting, long push on set, short pushes ensuring program 4 is still selected and scroll through to REG, long push and this opens the charging settings, 1st setting is boost voltage 2nd is equalise voltage, 3rd is equalise duration and 4th is equalise frequency. If equalise frequency is set to zero there will be no equalise mode available in the scrolling voltage menu.

George are you referring to page 6 of the user guide or the Reference Manual?

Re: PL 40 equalisation mode
Thanks Shirley but I have a manual. Unless yours is different to mine I couldn't find any information on how to force it into equalisation mode.
Thanks George but I had already tried that. I'm guessing that as equalisation normally starts from 9am it must not give the option to push it into start. I will give it another go when the sun starts shinning again.
Sonky, why would I want to do that? The system has been in use for about 15 years now. Too late to worry about what size cable to fit

Hi, all.
Craig - fair enough. I've always found Brett at Brett's Camper Care in Clontarf to be very good on Plasmatronics, BTW.
