Just had a call from Steve aka Ozfueler to say they are at Lake Elphinstone for a few days, he reports the temp is 28deg, lovely and sunny, about 50 rigs scattered about and Lorraine is having a swim in the lake.

Good morning all from Lawnton Showgrounds . Heater on in the van this morning but at least looks as though the sun will come out to-day.

Looking more likely that we will be able to attend, as well there is a Big Rigs Clan meeting at Collinsville towards the end of August which is "in the area" so to speak, would like to attend that if possible. Also some gem thingy at Emerald around that time. Other half has just returned from Japan and showed around the first couple of Cabachons we made, found they would sell for $50 each there, so all excited about that.

We are not a million miles away from Elphinstone and it is a beaut place. However, our caravan is possibly going to be away being repaired, so if we turn up we would be using an off road camper trailer we've recently bought....an ancient one but a goodie. So put us down for a probable as long as you can handle two lowly camperw, two labradoodles, and one poodle puppy.

We got the offroad camper trailer because we are hoping to do some rough stuff once we are free from the ties of this contract in Bowen. It's a work in progress but I'm confident it'll be useable by then.
