The igloo is 6mt x 5mt and 2.1mt high in the middle . I'm winging this as I don't have a friendly Inuit (spelling) living close by . The mesh is only 5% shade and has 1/2 inch squares with smaller mesh inside the squares . I'm at this stage planning a no dig garden....will see how that goes when we get that far . Heres some pics .

We had a no dig driveway.... is that similar to a no dig garden? Margaret wants to build a very large finch aviary to grow vegies and fruit, apparently the finches eat any bug silly enough to enter but as long as the bird seed is kept up they leave the fruit and vegies alone. We also have a resident blue tongue so snails and slugs wouldn't last long, but then neither do strawberries apparently

We need one, the possums spoil everything here.
We had a vine full of passionfruit the possums just bit holes in them & dropped them on the ground, even eat the parsley.

Did you crochet the mesh, Bernie? Maybe that explains what you do when you get out of bed at 4AM.

Shirley, try painting a thick layer of vaporrub around the area that the passion fruits grow. It used to stop our possums from stealing bits of bananas etc

Thanks Deborah, we used vapour rub once on the stauchions & wire on the yacht years ago when it was at a marina to keep the swallows of it, next time we went sailing the residue from it ended up all over our shorts, so decided that it wasn't a good idea.
We have found with the new boat spraying where they like to nest with WD40 deters them.
My passion fruits plants are only about 5" high at the moment will give it a try.
